There were strong winds all day Friday, giving me a good dose of resistance training on my run that morning. By the evening, the gusts had blown away all of the sand and haze that normally rest in the air, leaving a cloud-dotted sky and a clear horizon on the Arabian Gulf. On the clearest days, like these, I can cound a dozen freighters out on the water, waiting to approach the port at Dubai.

Later that night, we walked outside to catch a taxi to a favourite Mexican restaurant, and the wind continued to blow. It was COLD! And it feels crazy to say that around here, but it really was.
